Parrish Library’s Featured Databases series will give you a very brief introduction to the basic features of one of Purdue Libraries’ subscription resources. This edition will feature ABI/INFORM Collection, brought to you by ProQuest, part of Clarivate.

Focus

ABI/INFORM Collection is an all-purpose database that includes articles about companies and business trends around the world. It covers business and economics full-text journals and citations, over 45,000 business-related doctoral dissertations, country reports, and industry reports.

Access

The List of Business Databases is an alphabetical list of databases filtered to those most applicable to business, entrepreneurship, and hospitality and tourism management programs of study.

Focus

S&P Capital IQ is considered a top resource for company financial and valuations. It includes information on equities, credit ratings, competitors, transactions and more, and can generate lists of companies, markets, or executives.

Featured Databases: Morningstar Investing Center

Parrish Library’s Featured Databases will give you a very brief introduction to the basic features of one of Purdue Libraries’ subscription resources. This edition will feature Morningstar Investing Center, brought to you by Morningstar, Inc.

Focus

Morningstar Investing Center contains information on 20,000 stocks and mutual funds, allows screening using a variety of criteria, and provides access to Morningstar Ratings and analyst reports.

Please note that this database has a five concurrent user limit, so it is important to log off when you are finished using the database.

Focus

IBISWorld provides data-drive reports on over 700 U.S. industries, 200 Chinese industries, and 70 global industries. Each report is approximately 30-40 pages in length.

Parrish Library’s Featured Database will give you a very brief introduction to the basic features of one of our specialized subscription databases. This time we’re featuring a new resource, PitchBook, brought to you by Morningstar, Inc.

Focus

PitchBook contains private market data – startups, private equity and venture capital investors, angel investors, limited partners like foundations and sovereign wealth funds, and associated deals and funding rounds.

Please note that PitchBook has a download limit of 10 downloads per day, per user and 25 downloads per month, per user.
