As a result, LSTA funds are distributed to states for the purpose of increasing the use of technology in libraries, fostering better resource sharing among libraries, and targeting library services to special populations.<\/p>\n<p>Innovation: The innovative grant application deadline is open ended. Applications will be reviewed upon submission based on the quality of the project, its relevance to desired outcomes, and potential for state-wide impact.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A library may submit only one application for an innovative mini-grant.<br \/>\n\u2022 The maximum amount of funding is $200,000 per application.<br \/>\n\u2022 A local cash match of 10% of the total requested amount is required.<br \/>\n\u2022 $200,000 of LSTA funds will be available for these grants.<\/p>\n<p>Digitization: Libraries are encouraged to partner with other libraries and cultural institutions to digitize and preserve all aspects of Indiana History.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The maximum amount of funding is $24,000 per application.<br \/>\n\u2022 A local cash match of 10% of the total requested amount is required.<br \/>\n\u2022 $150,000 of LSTA funds will be available for these grants.<br \/>\n\u2022 Additional questions, included in the appendix, are required of all applicants.<\/p>\n<p>Technology: A library may submit only one application for a technology mini-grant.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The maximum amount of funding is $8,000 per application.<br \/>\n\u2022 A local cash match of 10% of the total requested amount is required.<br \/>\n\u2022 $175,000 of LSTA funds will be available for these grants.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CFP: http:\/\/www.in.gov\/library\/2704.htm Three categories: Innovation, Digitization, and Technology Deadline: 1\/16\/2009 (for technology and digitization, open for innovation) As part of the Museum and Library Services Act, The Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) was signed into law September 30, 1996.
