{"id":199,"date":"2010-10-12T09:46:59","date_gmt":"2010-10-12T13:46:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.lib.purdue.edu\/grants\/2010\/10\/12\/cyberlearning-transforming-education\/"},"modified":"2010-10-28T08:46:18","modified_gmt":"2010-10-28T12:46:18","slug":"cyberlearning-transforming-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.lib.purdue.edu\/grants\/2010\/10\/12\/cyberlearning-transforming-education\/","title":{"rendered":"NSF: Cyberlearning: Transforming Education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Deadline: January 17, 2011 for Exploration and Design &amp; Implementation proposals; For Integration &amp; Deployment proposals, LOI is May 14 and proposals are due July 14, 2011<\/p>\n<p>CFP: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/pubs\/2010\/nsf10620\/nsf10620.htm\">http:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/pubs\/2010\/nsf10620\/nsf10620.htm<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Awards: 24-34 awards from $30,000,000 total funding<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Through the <em>Cyberlearning: Transforming Education<\/em> program, NSF seeks to integrate advances in technology with advances in what is known about how people learn to<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li>better understand how people learn with technology and how  technology can be used productively to help people learn, through  individual use and\/or through collaborations mediated by technology;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li>better use technology for collecting, analyzing, sharing, and  managing data to shed light on learning, promoting learning, and  designing learning environments; and<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li>design new technologies for these purposes, and advance  understanding of how to use those technologies and integrate them into  learning environments so that their potential is fulfilled.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Of particular interest are technological advances that allow more  personalized learning experiences, draw in and promote learning among  those in populations not currently served well by current educational  practices, allow access to learning resources anytime and anywhere, and  provide new ways of assessing capabilities.
