{"id":32,"date":"2009-08-19T10:37:02","date_gmt":"2009-08-19T14:37:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.lib.purdue.edu\/grants\/?p=32"},"modified":"2009-08-19T10:37:55","modified_gmt":"2009-08-19T14:37:55","slug":"neh-collaborative-research-grants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.lib.purdue.edu\/grants\/2009\/08\/19\/neh-collaborative-research-grants\/","title":{"rendered":"NEH Collaborative Research Grants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Call for proposals: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.neh.gov\/grants\/guidelines\/collaborative.html\">http:\/\/www.neh.gov\/grants\/guidelines\/collaborative.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Deadline: 10\/29\/2009<\/p>\n<p>Awards: $25,000-$100,000 per year for 1-3 years<\/p>\n<p>Application process: grants.gov<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding-bottom: 14px\">Collaborative Research Grants support original research undertaken by a team of two or more scholars or research coordinated by an individual scholar that, because of its scope or complexity, requires additional staff and resources beyond the individual\u2019s salary.<\/div>\n<p>Eligible projects include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>research that significantly adds to knowledge and understanding in the humanities;<\/li>\n<li>conferences on topics of major importance in the humanities that will benefit ongoing research;<\/li>\n<li>archaeological projects that include the interpretation and communication of results (projects may encompass excavation, materials analysis, laboratory work, field reports, and preparation of interpretive monographs); and<\/li>\n<li>research that uses the knowledge, methods, and perspectives of the humanities to enhance understanding of science, technology, medicine, and the social sciences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"padding-bottom: 14px;padding-top: 0px\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"padding-bottom: 14px;padding-top: 0px\">These grants support full-time or part-time activities for periods of one to three years.              Support is available for various combinations of scholars, consultants, and research              assistants; project-related travel; field work; applications of information technology;              and technical support and services.
