This Week\u2019s Featured Database: <\/strong>Hospitality & Tourism Complete,<\/em> from EBSCOHost, combining the records of databases formerly produced by Cornell, the University of Surrey, and Purdue.<\/p>\n Link:<\/strong> www.lib.purdue.edu\/mel<\/a>, in the pull down Quick Access to Business Databases<\/em> alpha list right below the Libraries\u2019 search box.<\/p>\n Description\/focus:<\/strong> Hospitality & Tourism Complete <\/em>covers scholarly research and industry news, extending back to 1965 in some areas.<\/p>\n Start with this hint: <\/strong>Hospitality & Tourism Complete<\/em> has the basic and advanced search features offered by EBSCO in other databases.\u00a0 Enter a word or short phrase that is your subject and when the list is displayed, you can sort by type of document or limit by date.\u00a0 For example, enter economic development<\/em> for a list of more than 2000 hits.\u00a0 Narrow your results with the tools in the column on the left: move the slider on the year bar, or check Academic Journals<\/strong> and Reports<\/strong>. Stay on the results page for an Advanced<\/strong> Search<\/strong> and you can broaden the results by adding\u00a0 forecasting in the second search field and changing the limiter from and<\/em> to or<\/em>.<\/p>\n Other common tools available in this database<\/strong>: save selected hits online for later retrieval; email selected hits to yourself; citation help; some fulltext; FIND IT at Purdue Libraries<\/strong>; links to cited references; option to sort by date or relevance.
