Students were invited to attend alongside a guest, supervisor, or advisor, bringing together over 40 attendees. Wayne Booker Chair in Information Literacy Clarence Maybee, Associate Dean for Collections and Access Rebecca Richardson, and Information Studies Department Head Jane Yatcilla. Throughout the program, student award recipients were invited to share brief reflections on their experiences working in and with the Libraries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A special highlight of the evening was the presence of Joy M. Matson, donor of the Joy M. Matson Scholarship, who had the opportunity to meet and connect with this year\u2019s recipient..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The recipients of this year\u2019s awards include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>McCaw Scholarship:<\/strong> Roma Koroneos<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Viton Scholarship:<\/strong> Sarah Sewell<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Earhart Scholarship: <\/strong>Amanda Colip, Satish Patel, Ethan Popp, Alexandra Rossi<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Matson Scholarship: <\/strong>Eric Xie<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Graham Scholarship: <\/strong>Peter Forbin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>PULSE Award: <\/strong>Jordan Barclay, Elijah Patton, Netra Shah<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Undergraduate Award for Humanities &amp; STEM Research: <\/strong>Aastha Patel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>Students shared how these awards are helping shape their futures:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis scholarship helps me pursue my dream of becoming an archivist.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014<strong>Roma Koroneos,<\/strong> history student and Dorothy Newby McCaw Scholarship recipient<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt gives me the opportunity to keep studying and working toward my goals.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014<strong>Sarah Sewell,<\/strong> computer engineering student and Dr. Albert Viton Scholarship recipient<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs a first-generation college student, this award means a lot to me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014<strong>Eric Xie, <\/strong>mechanical engineering student and Joy M. Matson Scholarship recipient<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>Purdue Libraries extends its congratulations to all awardees for their outstanding contributions.
