Description\/focus:<\/strong>\u00a0 LexisNexis Company Dossier<\/em> provides company information.<\/p>\n

Start with this hint:<\/strong>\u00a0 If you are looking for a private company, enter the company name and LexisNexis Company Dossier<\/em> will give you a list of guesses.\u00a0 Try, for example, Hallmark to find information about the greeting card company.\u00a0 The name search strategy will also work for a publicly traded company, but it is more efficient to search by ticker. \u00a0Click here<\/a> to see the basics of searching LexisNexis Company Dossier<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Why you should know this database:\u00a0 <\/strong>The links in the left column of the company Snapshot<\/em> include Mergers & Acquisitions, SEC filings, and Investment Research Reports.<\/p>\n

How this database can be integrated into the curriculum:<\/strong>\u00a0 Stock Quotes and Charts can be customized to include historical information, and the Financials Overview includes ratio analysis.<\/p>\n
