Parrish Library of Management &amp; Economics.\u00a0 This week, as Spring Break ends, we are pleased to feature an exhibit and an online resource, both unique to Purdue University Libraries.<\/p>\n<p>Through March 30, visit the Archives to view the\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lib.purdue.edu\/spcol\/\">special exhibit<\/a> honoring Dorothy Stratton, Purdue\u2019s first full-time dean of women.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This Week\u2019s Featured Database<\/strong>:\u00a0 <em>e-Archives<\/em>, from Purdue University Libraries Archives and Special Collections. <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Link<\/strong>:\u00a0 <em>e-Archives<\/em> is accessed via <em>e-Scholar<\/em>.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Description\/focus<\/strong>:\u00a0 <em>e-Archives<\/em> is the Purdue Libraries\u2019 digital collection of manuscripts, photographs, and University publications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start with this hint<\/strong>:\u00a0 The <em>e-Archives<\/em> toolbar has a <strong>Search<\/strong> link that takes you to a page with an advanced search option and a list of the specific collections.\u00a0 Try a search for \u201cStratton\u201d in the Debris collection to see the 1943 yearbook entry about her war service.\u00a0 Click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lib.purdue.edu\/mel\/dbow_tutorials\/earchives_dbow\/index.htm\">here <\/a>to see the basics of searching<em> e-Archives<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why you should know this database<\/strong>: <em>e-Archives<\/em> includes over 107,000 digital objects.\u00a0 Here you can learn more about Helen Gouger, the lawyer who argued in Tippecanoe County Court in 1895 that women should receive the vote, or browse through historical photos of Purdue buildings, athletes, astronauts, and more.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How this can be integrated into the curriculum<\/strong>:\u00a0 Class visits are welcome in the Archives and Special Collections.
