Parrish Library of Management &amp; Economics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Link: <\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lib.purdue.edu\/mel\" target=\"_blank\">www.lib.purdue.edu\/mel<\/a>, in the pull down<em> Quick Access to Business Databases<\/em> alpha list right below the Libraries\u2019 search box.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Description\/focus:<\/strong>\u00a0<em>AgEcon Search<\/em> is an open access database covering agricultural and applied economics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start with this hint: <\/strong><em>AgEcon Search<\/em> home page displays the search box.\u00a0 Fill in your subject of interest, <em>Purdue<\/em> for example, and the results are displayed.\u00a0 Results include working papers, conference papers and posters, and journal articles.\u00a0 <em>AgEcon Search<\/em> covers the fields of agricultural, consumer, energy, environmental and resource economics.<em> <\/em>Subjects include agribusiness, farm management, marketing, teaching.\u00a0 Click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lib.purdue.edu\/mel\/dbow_tutorials\/agecon_dbow\/index.htm\">here <\/a>to see the basics of searching<em> AgEcon Search.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Why you should know this database:<\/strong><em> <\/em>By completing a simple registration process, you can submit your own papers and articles to be added to<em> AgEcon Search,<\/em> similar to the process of adding your papers to Purdue\u2019s institutional repository, <a href=\"http:\/\/docs.lib.purdue.edu\/\">e-Pubs<\/a>. As an open access database, <em>AgEcon Search<\/em> does not require a Purdue login and password, so the research you have done can be shared with anyone who has an Internet connection.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How this database can be integrated into the curriculum:<\/strong>\u00a0 With a simple search in <em>AgEcon Search<\/em> students can get results that are international in scope, with results from academic institutions, government agencies, and professional organizations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cost:<\/strong> There is no cost for access to <em>AgEcon Search<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Database of the Week comes to you from the Roland G.
