Welcome to Database of the Week, a feature from the Roland G. Parrish Library of Management & Economics.\u00a0 These weekly snapshots will give you basic information about our most relevant and beneficial online resources.<\/p>\n
This Week\u2019s Featured Database:\u00a0 <\/strong>AGRICOLA, <\/em>from the National Agricultural Library.<\/p>\n Link:<\/strong> www.lib.purdue.edu\/libraries\/mgmt<\/a>, under Collections<\/strong> (on the left), click on the List of Business Databases.<\/p>\n Description\/focus:<\/strong> AGRICOLA <\/em>gives access to the material in the National Agricultural Library.<\/p>\n Start with this hint:<\/strong>\u00a0 Begin a basic search by entering a keyword into the search field, then narrow the results with related keywords, or by using one of the limits offered below the search field.\u00a0\u00a0 You can select language, type of publication, and years of publication.\u00a0 AGRICOLA<\/em>\u00a0has few full text articles but it presents a good opportunity to try out the FIND IT at Purdue Libraries<\/strong>\u00a0 service.\u00a0 If the title you want is available in another database, FIND IT at Purdue Libraries<\/strong> will do the search and show you where it is.\u00a0 See here <\/a>for a short video tutorial on the basics of searching AGRICOLA<\/em>.<\/p>\n Why you should know this database:<\/strong>\u00a0 AGRICOLA<\/em>\u00a0 topics cover a wide range including agricultural regulations, training, animal science, nutrition, natural resources management, environmental pollution, food science, forestry, energy, and others.\u00a0 AGRICOLA<\/em>\u00a0coverage goes back to 1970.<\/p>\n How this database can be integrated into the curriculum:<\/strong> The AGRICOLA<\/em>\u00a0list of results includes an option called Find Similar<\/strong>.\u00a0 The filters and other tools simplify\u00a0 the search process.<\/p>\n Cost:<\/strong> Paid annually by Purdue University Libraries.<\/p>\n ——————————<\/p>\n Database of the Week comes to you from the Management & Economics Library (MEL).
