Parrish Library of Management & Economics is intended to give you a brief introduction to a database that you may not know, with basic information to get you started.\u00a0 Hopefully, you will be tempted to explore this or other databases.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n This Week\u2019s Featured Database:\u00a0 <\/span><\/b>Privco, from The Privco Company.<\/span><\/p>\n Find it:<\/span><\/b>www.lib.purdue.edu\/parrish<\/span><\/a>, Under the column headed Collections, click on List of Business Databases. <\/span><\/p>\n Description\/focus:<\/span><\/b> Privco\u00a0 is our newest source for private company information.<\/span><\/p>\n Try it: <\/span><\/b>\u00a0Some of the biggest companies in the world are privately owned (Cargill, Mars, Subway), and financial information about these billion-dollar companies is covered by our long-standing company information databases such as LexisNexis.\u00a0 Smaller private companies, though,\u00a0 are a challenge.\u00a0 Privco\u00a0 is our newest databases, specifically obtained to provide in-depth business intelligence about Private companies.
