Parrish Library of Management &amp; Economics is intended to give you a brief introduction to a database that you may not know, with only basic information to get you started.\u00a0 Hopefully, you will be tempted to explore this or other databases.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This Week\u2019s Featured Database: <\/strong><em>Mintel, <\/em>from Mintel Group.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Find it:<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lib.purdue.edu\/parrish\/\">www.lib.purdue.edu\/parrish<\/a>, Under the column headed Collections, click on List of Business Databases.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Description\/focus:<\/strong> <em>Mintel<\/em> provides market research reports on consumer products and services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start with this hint: <\/strong>\u00a0<em>Mintel<\/em>requires registration on first use.\u00a0 The <em>Mintel<\/em> home page has a simple search box and a static menu bar.\u00a0 Hover over Category Overview which is divided into three sections called Sector, Theme, and Demographic. Try one of the areas listed under Sector, such as Retail. The page will display the latest infographics, reports, news, and analyst insight. To find a particular report click on Latest Reports, select your criteria, and click Read More under the title of the report you choose.
