Each of these monthly snapshots will give you a very brief introduction to the basic features of one of our specialized subscription databases. This month\u2019s database is S&amp;P NetAdvantage brought to you by S&amp;P Global Inc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Link:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/guides.lib.purdue.edu\/businessdatabases\">http:\/\/guides.lib.purdue.edu\/businessdatabases<\/a> is the alphabetical list of the databases specially selected for those in a business program of study. Access the databases off-campus with your Purdue login and password.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Focus:<\/strong> Standard &amp; Poor\u2019s NetAdvantage, also known as S&amp;P NetAdvantage, provides investment information and analysis on companies, industries, stocks and bonds, mutual funds and dividends. Resources available include: S&amp;P Bond Guides, Earnings Guide, Corporation Records, Industry Surveys, Mutual Funds, S&amp;P Outlook, Register of Corporations, Executives and Directors, S&amp;P Stock Guide and Stock Reports.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tutorial: <\/strong>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/nJdA4-CK8Gc\">here<\/a> see the basics of searching S&amp;P NetAdvantage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start with this hint:<\/strong> You can easily browse industry or company profiles and find investment research under the Companies tab.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why you should know this database: <\/strong>S&amp;P NetAdvantage provides access to company profiles, news, investment research, and industry surveys. This database also features a chart builder that makes company comparison easy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interested in Company Financials? \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some other databases you might want to check out, are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mergentonline.com.ezproxy.lib.purdue.edu\/basicsearch.php\">Mergent Online<\/a>, access financial statements, company news, industry analysis and more.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.privco.com.ezproxy.lib.purdue.edu\/academic-access\">PrivCo<\/a>, premier source for business and financial data on over 30,000 major, non-publicly traded corporations.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomsonone.com\/Workspace\/Main.aspx?View=Action%3dOpen&amp;BrandName=www.thomsonone.com&amp;IsSsoLogin=True\">Thomson One Banker<\/a>, provides access to comprehensive dataset of public company financial statistics and investment analyst report.
