Database name:<\/strong> AgEcon Search, <\/em>from the University of Minnesota Department of Applied Economics and University Libraries, and the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association.<\/p>\n Link: <\/strong> www.lib.purdue.edu\/mel<\/a>, in the pull down Quick Access to Business Databases<\/em> alpha list right below the Libraries\u2019 search box.<\/p>\n Description\/focus:<\/strong> AgEcon Search<\/em> is an open access database of full-text papers and articles on applied economics.<\/p>\n Start with this hint: <\/strong>AgEcon Search<\/em> home page displays the search box.\u00a0 Fill in your subject of interest, Purdue<\/em> for example, and the results are displayed.\u00a0 On the left on each page are links to browse the contents by institution, journal, author, date, or subject category.\u00a0 Results include working papers, conference papers and posters, and journal articles.\u00a0 AgEcon Search,<\/em> covers the fields of agricultural, consumer, energy, environmental and resource economics. <\/em>The subjects range from agribusiness to farm management, to marketing, to teaching.<\/p>\n Why you should know this database:<\/strong> <\/em>By completing a simple registration process, you can submit your own papers and articles to be added to AgEcon Search,<\/em> similar to the process of adding your papers to Purdue\u2019s institutional repository, e-Pubs<\/a>.
