(Read more about the teaching team and the learning community at <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/ewd-lc-award\">http:\/\/bit.ly\/ewd-lc-award<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Heather Howard<\/strong> was awarded (by Research Council) International Travel Grant of $2,000 and Research Support Grant $995.57. \u00a0The funds will be used to travel to the European Academy of Management (EURAM) Annual Conference, June 25-28 2019, Lisbon, Portugal to present \u201cStudent Information Use and Decision-Making in Innovation Competitions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nicole Kong<\/strong> was awarded (by Research Council) an International Travel Grant of $2,560.\u00a0 The grant will be used to travel to the 11th Qualitative and Quantitative Methods in Libraries (QQML) 2019 International Conference, May 28-31, 2019, in Florence, Italy, to present &#8220;Understanding the Impact of an Institutional Repository \u2013 A Big Data Mining and Visualization Project and Librarian as a Collaborator in Supporting Spatial Humanities Research Projects.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Clarence Maybee<\/strong> was awarded (by Research Council) an International Travel Grant of $2,000. \u00a0The grant will be used to travel to the Qualitative and Quantitative Methods in Librarianship conference held in Florence, Italy, May 29-31, 2019,\u00a0to present \u201cInformed Learning Design: A Tool for Integrating Information Literacy into Disciplinary Curricula.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bethany McGowan<\/strong> was awarded (from Research Council) an International Travel Grant of $2,000. The grant will be used to travel to the 2019 Medical Library Association Conference in Chicago, IL, May 5-7, 2019, to present the paper &#8220;Understanding Nursing Faculty&#8217;s Perceptions of the Role of the ACRL Information Literacy Framework in Nursing Instruction&#8221; and two poster sessions on &#8220;Using Text Mining Tools to Generate Terms for a Systematic Review: A Comparison of Voyant Tools&#8221; and &#8220;R tm and Creating a For Credit Systematic Review Course for Graduate Students in the Health Sciences.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Larry Mykytiuk<\/strong>\u2019s research in Biblical studies was recognized during his time as Scholar in Residence at Temple Sholom, Chicago, IL, March 29\u201231, 2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Margaret Phillips<\/strong> was awarded (from Research Council) an International Travel Grant of $2,000 and Research Support Grant of $995.97. The funds will be used to travel to the 2019 European Academy of Management (EURAM) conference in Lisbon, Portugal, from June 25-28, 2019, to present \u201cMapping Industry Standards in Undergraduate Business Education.<\/p>\n<h1>Presentations<\/h1>\n<p>On April 24, <strong>Bert Chapman <\/strong>presented &#8220;The Controversial F-35 Joint Strike Fighter: America\u2019s Most Expensive Weapons System and Its Impact&#8221; and &#8220;British Government Information Resources&#8221; at INDIGO, the Indiana Government Documents Librarians Conference at Indiana University in Bloomington.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adriana Harmeyer <\/strong>was on the panel \u201cArchival Revitalization: Transforming Technical Services with Innovative Workflows\u201d at the Midwest Archives Conference in Detroit (MI), April 6.
